I got my first ‘Son’ and ‘Brother’ cards this year. And everyone in my family adressed the cards to Ed.

Even my father. For the first year ever, my birth name was not in sight. No where. Not even on all the labels on the presents. Not on the envelopes. Nothing.

You have no idea how happy this makes me. To know I’m finally accepted by everyone, I don’t have to hide anymore. I am me, and my family love me regardless. This is what true happiness feels like. And this is the best christmas ever just for that fact. I couldn’t care less about presents, or the food, or anything like that. I don’t care if it doesn’t snow. I don’t care if my favourite xmas film isn’t on.

My family are the best gift I’ve ever received and i can never thank them enough for being so supportive and loving.
